Insurance agents perform essentially a sales function by arranging for clients to purchase insurance coverage from insurers; agents are given authority to represent the insurers through an agency agreement. Hearing aid dealers are responsible for the precise fitting of a hearing aid with its earmold, for selling and servicing it, and for helping the client to adjust to sound amplification. Hearing aid specialists are in most states licensed under standards of competence and a strict code of ethics.
Legal Office Professionals*
Legal Office Professionals who carry a professional liability policy can be referred under this business classification for review. Legal Offices include:
- Paralegal is a person qualified to perform substantive legal work that requires knowledge of legal concepts.
- Lawyer is a person who practices or studies law and represents, acts, consults, and advises clients in legal matters.
Note: Medical Expense Exclusion and Personal and Advertising Injury Exclusion will be attached to all policies written for this class.
Life Coach*
Life coaches counsel and encourage clients on matters having to do with career or personal challenges. These professionals provide the drive and guidance their clients need to improve their careers, relationships, and lives. Helping clients achieve goals, overcome obstacles and make changes in their lives. Wellness coaches may be written under this class. Counselors/Therapists, Consultants, Nutritionists are not eligible under this class.
Note: Personal and Advertising Injury Exclusion will be attached to all policies written for this class (Wellness coaches can assist with fitness, nutrition, stress management, weight, and other health-related issues. Helping their clients to eat healthier, get fitter, and increase daily energy. The main focus is to make long-lasting healthy lifestyle changes).
Office Professionals*
Office Professionals who carry a professional liability policy can be referred under this business classification for review. Offices include:
- Counselors/Therapists involved in human services, licensed clinicians with advanced degrees.
- Employment Agencies/Headhunters professionals working for outside companies looking to fill particular roles.
- Risk Management services include identifying, assessing and controlling threats to an organization; in order to avoid or minimize the impact.
- Stock Brokers without discretionary trading authority.
- Regulated professionals who buy and sell stocks or other securities through a stock exchange in return for a fee or commission.
- Nutritionists advise on matters of food and nutrition impacts on health.
- Consultants including Actuarial, Advertising Services/Marketing, and Human Resources. Consultants are professionals who provide expert advice or services.
- Computer Programmers/Software Developers are professionals who write programs for the operation of computers.
- Chiropractors are health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.
Lawyers/Paralegals are not eligible under this class.

Real Estate Agent*
A real estate agent brings together buyers and sellers to produce the transfer of real property (land or buildings or both) under terms acceptable to both parties. Agents have a duty to their clients to understand every aspect of the transaction and to inform the buyer and seller of all material facts that may affect their rights to property. Property management, land brokers and tenant screening are not eligible under this class.
Representatives and distributors of Avalar Real Estate & Mortgage Network are eligible operations for this classification.
Residential Inspection Services*
These risks provide a service to prospective home buyers who seek an objective opinion of the homes condition. Home inspectors will report on the condition of the home’s structure and systems including heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and roofing. The inspection is a physical visual inspection which may include the inspector climbing upon the roof and into attic spaces.
Note: Professional Services Exclusion and Residential Inspection Services Limitation Endorsement will be attached to all policies polices written for this class.
Unmanned Aircraft Operations*
Commercial use of Unmanned Aircraft. Classification is not available in New York.
Wedding Officiate*
Wedding Officiants will lead a wedding service or ceremony. Officiants are legally recognized by the state in which the wedding/ceremony takes place and in some ceremonies religious qualifications may be necessary. Civil Officiants or Clergy are not eligible.
